Hair Braiding & Dreadlocks

Tension before style.

Braiding looks like styling. It is structural. Done wrong, it removes hair no future treatment will return. Style is what the client sees. The hairline is what I protect.

The Method

Braiding looks like styling. It is structural.

Done wrong, these services cause hair loss no future treatment will reverse. Done correctly, they can protect the hair for the duration they are worn. Every braid pulls on a follicle. Every dreadlock places sustained weight on a section of scalp. The hairline is the most fragile area, and it is the area most often sacrificed by practitioners chasing a tight finish.

I work the opposite way. Tension is monitored throughout, the hairline is protected, and the design respects what the scalp can carry over weeks and months, not just hours. Style is what the client sees. The scalp is what I am responsible for.

A man should be able to wear the style and remove it without losing what he came in with.
The Scalp Carries The Weight.
The work is respecting it.
